Description

An impressive city walk through Jewish history, in the center of Amsterdam. You follow part of the Westerborkpad and thus the trail of many Jewish Amsterdammers who were deported from the Hollandse Schouwburg via station Amsterdam Muiderpoort to camp Westerbork. The route also passes famous canals (Prinsen-, Heren- and Keizersgracht) and well-known squares such as the Rembrandt- and Waterlooplein. You also walk through the 9 straatjes with authentic shops, past the Westerkerk and the Stopera.

Route

Along this route you will find many places with a Jewish history: the Anne Frank Huis, the Joods Historisch Museum, the Spiegelmonument designed by Jan Wolkers and the Hollandsche Schouwburg.
