Description
Not a quiet, green area this time, but a vibrant city with much to see and do. Something is always sailing on the Nieuwe Maas, furthermore old harbors with historical ships, unique bridges, and a modern skyline. Via green canals, you walk to the historical Delfshaven, the oldest part of Rotterdam. Nowadays, Historisch Delfshaven is the bustling center of Rotterdam where good food and drink, nightlife, terraces, city walks, art, and culture go hand in hand.
From the Parkheuvel near the Euromast, you have a beautiful view over the Nieuwe Maas and the "Rotterdam," once the flagship of the Holland Amerika Lijn (HAL). From the Veerhaven, you can cross to Hotel New York (you can also walk across the Erasmusbrug). Via the Noordereiland and the Willemsbrug to the lively Oude Haven near Blaak and along the sculpture route on the Westersingel back to the station.
Route
You can shorten the route after 12 km. You then end at Rotterdam Blaak station.
