Description
First, you walk through Landgoed Groeneveld, a park in the romantic English landscape style. The route continues across the vast Zuider- and Westerheide, where Charolais cattle graze which, like the sheep and their shepherd in the past, prevent the heath from becoming overgrown with grass, trees, and shrubs. It can be busy here on weekends.
Kasteel Groeneveld in Baarn is an 18th-century country estate and one of the most beautiful examples of a country house from that period. Inspiring exhibitions are organized around the themes of 'green and growth'. During the walk, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with cake at Grand café Groeneveld, located in the Koetshuis.
