Utrechtse Heuvelrug

Driebergen-ZeistMaarn

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a wonderful place for walking. On the Bornia estate, forest, heathland, and sand drifts alternate. You can't really walk past the village of Austerlitz; you can have a delicious lunch here.

Description

You start the walk at Driebergen-Zeist station and end after 15 km at Maarn station.

On the Bornia estate, forest, heathland, and sand drifts alternate. The second part of the walk goes a bit through the Austerlitz forestry. On the longer variant, you will pass 'Koepel van Stoop' on the Den Treek estate. The stately beech avenues give this area a special charm.

Route

From Dorpsplein in Austerlitz (after 8 km), bus line 381 runs once an hour from Monday to Friday to Driebergen-Zeist station. Check current departure times in the NS app or in the Reisplanner on NS.nl (also bus times).
